Questions People Usually Ask

An Ecopool, or natural swimming pool, uses plants and beneficial micro-organism to filter and purify the water. The water is clean, soft on the skin, and stays remarkably clear. Natural pools create points of interest in the garden year round, providing habitat for a diversity of plant and animal life.

Natural pools are chemical free- providing a safe and natural swimming experience for you and your family. Once established, it's largely self-regulating. Natural pools work with ecological processes to create living water rather than trying to maintain sterile, dead water with chemical regimes.

Mostly the Garden Route — Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, George, Wilderness, and the surrounding areas. For the right project we'll travel further, but the Garden Route is our home base.

Ecological design is an approach to landscaping and landscape management that integrates ecological systems thinking into the design process. By working with natural processes and locally relevant species, ecological design supports biodiversity, strengthens local water cycles and creates aesthetically beautiful landscape solutions.

Every piece of land has a different character, history and context. Good land management planning integrates the nature of the land with the vision and goals of the land owners to achieve desired landscape outcomes. In the Garden Route, the largest land management topics typically revolve around invasive plant control, water management and fire-risk reduction. Other components could include planning for food production, ecological restoration or development planning.
